Hello and thank you for considering Nature Maid Total Home Services! We want to provide you with a world class cleaning experience, and the first step to achieving this, is with proper expectations from the beginning. Here are some regularly asked questions.
What do I need to provide or supply?
We bring all the supplies and equipment. All of our cleaning products are organic, all natural, no harsh chemicals or toxic ingredients. We do not use bleaches or ammonias. Safe for kids, pets and the environment.
The only thing you need to provide are trash liners. If you prefer that we use your products and equipment, we can accommodate.
What can I expect from an Initial visit deep cleaning?
Bedroom(s): Wipe down all window sills, frames and baseboards. Wipe down door frames, knobs and light switches. Dust furniture, lift, clean and place back items on dressers. If linens are left out, we will change sheets and make the bed. If no linens are left out, we will just make the bed. We will vacuum under the bed and furniture if space allows and that there is no items stored under bed. We will vacuum and mop as necessary.
Bathroom(s): Scrub toilet, tub and sinks. Wipe down all fixtures and outside of toilet bowl. Clean mirror(s). Scrub walls in the shower as needed. Empty trash. Vacuum and mop. We use color coded rags and sponges for bathrooms, so no cross contamination occurs. Yellow for the bathrooms, blue for the rest of the house. Paper towels are used as needed.
Kitchen: Wash and wipe countertops, appliances and outside of refrigerator. When cleaning countertops, we move items away from the wall, clean the underneath and place back items to original location. Clean the inside of the microwave, toaster oven, and/or coffee pot. Clean stovetop by removing grates and wiping thoroughly. Empty all trash. Vacuum and mop.
- Dining areas and den are treated the same way.
- Staircases are vacuumed and mopped as needed, and banisters are wiped clean.
- Vacuum corners of all walls and ceilings.
- Inside of closets are not included in deep cleaning, but if needed, will discuss special requests.
- Mirrors are included in all cleanings, but window cleaning is a separate service.
How far in advance should I schedule service?
We understand that flexibility is of value in everyone's life, however, our schedule fills up quickly. Please plan at least 3 days in advance of all cleanings.
What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If a service is cancelled within 24 hours, there is a $50 cancellation fee.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
No. You don't need to be home during the cleaning, but communication will be needed as to how we will gain entry. This is discussed during your time of booking.
I have pets, is that a problem?
Please let us know what to expect when booking your appointment. All of our products are safe for your pets, nothing harmful or toxic! We would like to know if they are crated? Are there doors that need to be left open? Are they friendly? Are they sick? Do you have any special instructions for us?
What are your methods of payments?
For your convenience, we accept all major credit cards, cash, Venmo, ApplePay, PayPal, Zelle and also checks. Sorry, no bitcoin! There is NJ state sales tax added to each service.
I have toddlers and he/she, they have alot of toys. Do you help organize?
As part of our regular cleaning service, we ask that you pick up the toys before we arrive, so our staff members can efficiently complete their cleaning. If there are excess toys and books laying around, you may incur additional charges. If you need additional upkeep help, we are able to provide our housekeeping rates, which will include upkeep of toys and books.
Do you do laundry? Will you fold clothes?
Many of our clients ask for additional services. If you request laundry services, please let us know before your appointment to set the proper charges. If you would like to include laundry in your ongoing recurring visits, we will customize a plan just for you!
